[News] AI Prompthon: A Chapter Concludes

At Verychat, innovation and experimentation are at the heart of our growth. Earlier this year, we launched the AI Prompthon, an ambitious initiative to encourage creativity and the proliferation of AI chatbots within our ecosystem. Today, we’re announcing the official conclusion of this event, but also taking the opportunity to reflect on its outcomes and outline our next steps.

Why Did the AI Prompthon End?

The AI Prompthon was always envisioned as an experimental project. It aimed to engage our community, foster AI chatbot development, and explore new possibilities within the Verychat platform. However, after thorough evaluation, we’ve determined that the timing wasn’t optimal, and there were challenges in aligning the event with our broader goals.

As a result, we’ve decided to pause the Prompthon and redirect our efforts toward other critical development priorities, including enhancing Verychat’s core features. This isn’t a goodbye — it’s a commitment to returning stronger with a more polished and impactful AI initiative in the future.

Revised Reward Distribution

During the evaluation process, we noticed that many of the top-performing chatbots were created by internal team members. To ensure fairness and uphold our values as a community-driven platform, we’ve made adjustments to the reward system.

As a token of our gratitude, all users who registered at least one chatbot during the Prompthon will receive 5,000 VERY tokens. This reward will be distributed on-chain, directly from the ecosystem portion.
