A Message from Verychat CEO Bryan Ko: Clarifying Node Distribution and Our Commitment to Genuine Community Growth 🌱🚀

Hello, this is Bryan Ko, CEO of Verychat.

Today, I have an important announcement to share with you all.

First, I’d like to sincerely thank everyone who’s been supporting Verychat. Thanks to your active engagement and referrals, our community has been rapidly growing.

Our mission has always been clear: we aim to popularize cryptocurrency by providing an easy, secure, and practical Web3 experience that adds genuine value to everyday life. Recently, however, we’ve seen some misunderstandings that portray Verychat as merely a project designed solely for the purpose of selling Nodes. We want to clarify — this is absolutely not true.

We’ve decided that after the current 4th-tier Node NFT sales, the remaining 2,400 Node NFTs (tiers 5–10) will be distributed exclusively as rewards to users who contribute significantly to community growth through referral activities in the Verychat app. As a result, out of 8,000 total Nodes, only 1,600 have been sold (priced between $200–$500), and the remaining 6,400 will be fully allocated to the community through active participation.

Please note that we have sufficient funding to continue developing and operating Verychat, independent of Node sales. Moreover, as our active user base grows, the intrinsic value of our ecosystem token, VERY, will continue to increase.

There’s a clear reason we reward Node NFTs through referrals: we genuinely appreciate those who actively introduce Verychat to their friends and family, thus helping us grow a vibrant community of engaged users.

However, simply increasing the number of referrals by having people download the app and enter a referral code without genuine engagement severely damages our retention metrics. We view this behavior as harmful and detrimental to the ecosystem and therefore cannot reward Nodes to such users. We clearly understand that inviting 50+ “real friends” is challenging. Therefore, those who genuinely accomplish this will always receive their deserved Nodes without issue. Users who have not met our standards for active referrals will not receive Nodes, and appeals against these decisions will not be accepted.

We promise to continually improve the Verychat platform through regular updates, including the upcoming desktop version, delivering a better experience to all our users. Together, let’s build a meaningful and user-friendly Web3 ecosystem.

이러한 취지에 따라, 현재 진행 중인 4티어 노드 NFT 판매를 마지막으로, 앞으로의 5–10티어 노드 NFT 2,400개는 베리챗 앱에서 초대 활동으로 커뮤니티에 기여하신 유저분들께만 지급하기로 결정하였습니다. 결과적으로, 총 8,000개의 노드 중 단 1,600개만 판매를 끝으로, 나머지 6,400개의 노드는 전량 커뮤니티 보상으로 지급될 것입니다.

베리챗은 노드 판매 여부와 상관없이 충분한 개발 및 운영 자금을 확보하고 있으며, 활성 유저가 늘어날수록 베리챗 생태계의 토큰인 VERY의 가치는 더욱 높아질 것입니다.

저희가 초대 활동을 통해 노드를 지급하는 이유는 명확합니다: “베리챗을 많은 분들께 알리고 활성 유저를 증가시키는 데 큰 기여를 해주신 것에 대한 진심 어린 감사의 표현”입니다.

단순히 앱 다운로드 후 초대 코드 입력만으로 숫자만 늘리는 행위는 베리챗의 리텐션 지표를 심각히 악화시키는 행위로, 저희는 이를 매우 악의적이고 부정적인 행위로 판단하며, 이러한 방식으로 초대한 분들에게는 절대로 노드를 지급할 수 없습니다. 저희도 50명 이상의 “진짜” 친구들을 초대하는 것이 매우 어려운 일임을 잘 알고 있습니다. 그렇기에 그 진심 어린 노력에 대한 감사의 의미로 노드를 드리는 것이니, 주변의 실제 사용자분들을 진정성 있게 초대해 주시면 아무 문제 없이 노드를 받으실 수 있습니다. 위의 목적에 부합하지 않아 지급되지 않은 노드에 대해서는 어떠한 이의제기도 허용되지 않음을 분명히 알려드립니다.
